On July 18th, a significant validation workshop on Kabena language documentation and digitization was held at the Kabena Culture Center in Wolkite. This collaborative effort between Wachemo University and the Kabena Culture and Tourism Office brought together experts and community members to review and validate the extensive work done on preserving the Kabena language.
During the event, the Kabena Culture and Tourism Office recognized the invaluable contributions of Wachemo University and honored the project initiators, Dr. K. Sekhar, Mr. Eyasu Tilahun, and Mr. Habtemariam Amare, with certificates of recognition. This acknowledgment highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in preserving linguistic heritage and ensuring its accessibility for future generations.
