A productive editing session for the Yem language took place from February 12th to February 17th, 2024, under the guidance of Wachemo University President, Dr. Habtamu Abebe, and Yem Zone Administrator, Mr. Israel Mamo. The session, led by linguistic experts Dr. K. Sekhar, Mr. Eyasu Tilahun and Mr. Habtemariam Amare, along with a dedicated team of translators, editors, and coordinators, aimed to enhance the documentation of the Yem language. The collaborative efforts of individuals such as Mr. Melkamu Tadesse, Mr. Misgana Kebede, Mr. Tesfaye Gasso, Mr. Girma Mecha, Mr. Assaye Fitta, Mr. Yosef Bekele, Mr. Habtemariam Wondimu, Mr. Nigatu G/Silasie, Mr. Amanuel Sambi, Mr. Fikadu Gumbul, and Mr. Israel Mamo made this session a success.
Following thorough editing, the manuscript has been passed on to expert reviewers proficient in English, Amharic, and Yem languages. This collaborative endeavor signifies a significant step forward in preserving and promoting the rich linguistic heritage of the Yem community.
