In English Language, “Present form” of a verb is used irrespective of person, number, and gender but we add ‘s’ or ‘es’ to the verb if the subject is the third person singular i.e., he/she/it. In Afaan Oromoo, the verb form varies with respective person, number, and gender. The verb form ends as mentioned in the table below.
I read/learn If the subject is "I", the main verb form ends with ''a' (Hindubbisa/hinbaradha).
We read/learnIf the subject is "we" verb form ends with ''na'. (hindubbisna/hinbaranna).
You(m) read/learnIf the subject is "You (m)" verb form ends with 'ta'. (hindubista/ hinbaratta).
